Virginia is “home” after growing up in a military family and never really placing roots until college. It seems that adoption has been weaved into my family story in many different ways to include distant relatives and close loved ones being touched by adoption. It was only natural that I begin my career in the adoption field over 22 years ago.

I have been a state adoption consultant and worked in parental placement, foster care agency placement and international adoptions. In my personal life I have been a foster parent and am now an (international) adoptive parent. My adoption journey was full of ups and downs and ultimately one of the best things I have ever done, being my “greatest adventure.”

I enjoy spending time with my sons who both enrich my life in ways they will never understand. As a small family, we enjoy a lot of time together with our two cats, two dogs and fosters from a local animal rescue.
