Join our Team!! CAS is actively seeking to hire a foster care Program Manager in North Carolina.
Responsible for program planning, development, management, successful implementation according to all regulation and provide on-going community relations. Implementation and translation of state and local agency policy and other supervisory functions of Foster Care and designated adoption services. Collaborating with service providers, foster parents, and other placing agencies to ensure the highest quality of services is provided to the children and families we serve. Train and provide oversight of designated staff members and families in delivery of applicable requirements and applicable accreditations.
Position Requirements:
- Master’s degree from an accredited school of social work or Master’s degree in related human service field, including but not limited to psychology, psychiatry, counseling or with a degree in a human service discipline and minimum of five years professional clinical/administrative in providing family and children’s service, preferably in foster care and adoption.
- Minimum of two years of supervisory experience. Must be flexible, well organized and able to adjust workload to changing agency needs.
- Must reflect sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural differences present in the agency’s service population.
- Must utilize critical thinking skills resulting in effective time and task management.
- Must demonstrate the ability to interpret and apply organizational policies and procedures.
Primary Position Responsibilities:
- Lead program development and planning including the development of policies and procedures for foster services and adoption services.
- Ensures state/agency policies and standards are followed and necessary changes are implemented in a timely manner. Participate and arrange Internal audits as needed.
- Recruit, hire, orient and supervise designated staff.
- Display supervisory abilities that promote effective staff performance.
- Responsible for modifying or changing work assignments to maintain a balanced workload among social workers.
- Monitor the work of social workers through the review of reports, cases, conferences and informal discussions.
- Provide structured staff supervision, annual performance appraisal, and effective communication with an emphasis on team building and positive acknowledgement.
- Assist in arranging and providing all necessary training for families and staff, to ensure that trainings are complete, current, and compliant with program standards.
- Ensure all files are updated and placed into database efficiently, and in a timely manner and are compliant with regulations.
- Support collaboration with service providers, foster parents, and other placing agencies to ensure the highest quality of services is provided to the children and families who are served.
- Handle correspondence with all partner agencies and/or organizations engaged in the delivery of services to our families.
- Participate in required training, including agency in-service training, professional seminars, workshops, and conferences.
- Engage as a leader and develop programs to serve children and families as designated.
- Adhere to all agency protocols and procedures.
Additional Position Responsibilities:
- Participate in all staff meetings and foster care program meetings.
- Additional duties as assigned by CEO.
- Travel as needed for program development and delivery.
- Computer proficiency in basic office applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
