I was born and raised in East Tennessee and only recently moved to Virginia when my husband was stationed here. My wonderful husband and I have two fur-babies who keep us on our toes. I have my Bachelor’s in Social Work from East Tennessee State University and am pursuing my Master’s in School Counseling.  I have been in the social work field for 9 years. I started my career working with Department of Children’s Services in Tennessee in the child protective services and family crisis intervention areas. For the past two years, I have been working in school systems as a social worker teaching children about conflict resolution and how to be kind as well as connecting families to resources. I explain my job to kids as being a “professional helper” which sums up my passion and calling. I am thrilled and honored to be part of the Children’s Adoption Services team and look forward to helping children and families!
